Addiction Recovery Plan Worksheet

This Addiction Recovery Plan Worksheet is designed to help you work out what you can and what you need to do in order to move on from your addiction. What’s needed is the motivation that comes from knowing that you’re not alone. And, by believing that you can get out of this hole and that you’ve support system within you. It takes effort and patience, but when you do it right, it’s really all worth it.

This Addiction Recovery Plan Worksheet is meant to be a tool to guide you through the process of getting sober. What you need to do is put your ideas down and visualize them in your mind. Visualization is a process where your mind gets this great idea and your brain interprets it as real and true. The next step is then to apply the visualization to the place that you want to get out of your addiction. So, for example, if you are an alcoholic, you can visualize yourself standing on the bridge of a ship with your loved ones.

The next step is to picture yourself going to the beach, playing tennis, or spending some quality time with friends. That’s all up to you, but the important thing is that you have a picture in your mind and then that picture has to translate into reality. When you put these steps together, you’ll come up with something that is your addiction recovery plan.

After you’ve put your ideas down, you need to find positive visualizations of yourself and use them to start using your visualization tool. For example, you might see your alcoholic friends on the bridge of the ship and you should picture yourself putting a bottle of wine on their table.

Alcoholics are often impatient and if they see themselves in a lifeboat, then they might want to drink a beer. If you have a picture of yourself being drunk, then you are on the right track. You can also find others who have overcome their addictions and tell them your ideas and how they helped them get past their addictions.

When you take pictures and stick them in your wallet, you should create a good habit of seeing your “impressions” of what you want to achieve. This way, you will not forget your picture. Once you get your picture out of your head, you can begin to transform it into reality.

As you continue your visualization, you can either sit back and look at your pictures or show your pictures to someone else. If you do this when you’re alone, then you can carry them with you, even if you can’t physically see them. Since pictures are a physical representation of your visions, then you won’t forget your visualization if you have a picture of what you want to achieve.

If you use this tool as a bad habit, then you will know it inside and out. In this way, you’ll be able to get into the habit of visualization and you’ll be in the right place to get your sobriety.
